Day 1 Depart the Gold Coast at 7.45 am.

Travel to Brisbane transit centre to collect additional tour participants.

Drive onto the Sunshine Coast township of Pomona, where if time allows you will have the opportunity to visit the local craft market before transferring the short distance to the historic Majestic Theatre – Queensland’s longest continuously operating picture theatre and the only theatre in the world that continuously screens silent films. This small community run theatre and cinema has been in operation for over 100 years. Immerse yourself in the wonderful photographic collection and memorabilia. Learn about the fascinating history of the theatre and watch a short silent movie presentation. Enjoy a boxed lunch during the movie.

At the conclusion of the movie we travel south to the quaint sunshine coast hinterland town of Montville. Check into our accommodation, when you will have some free time to relax or perhaps wander along the main street browsing in the shops.

Accommodation for one night in a run of house room (double/ twin or single) is at the Montville Mountain Inn (3.5* property)

This evening we will enjoy a Christmas in July Celebration Dinner, comprising of a 4 course dinner at the Montville Café Bar and Grill, located next door to our accommodation.

Christmas attire is encouraged – even if it is just a little bit of red or green, the more the merrier…..

Day 2 Continental Breakfast provisions supplied to guest’s room to self-cater for breakfast.

Morning transfer to Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve where you can enjoy strolling through subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glass House Mountains landscape. A remnant of the rainforests that once covered the Blackall Range, the reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life which will delight with its tranquility and beauty. Visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre, a dynamic interpretation space offering multi-sensory learning experiences. Ever-changing thematic displays invite you to discover the rainforest.

Acquire a higher perspective of the breath-taking, heritage listed Glasshouse Mountains from the Viewing Deck and take the Elevated Glider Gallery Boardwalk (150m). This all-ability walk showcases the rainforest mid-storey.

Next, travel the short distance to Tiffany’s at Maleny and indulge in a truly exquisite High Tea experience of hand-made sweet and savoury delights surrounded by panoramic Glass House Mountain views.

Next stop is The Barrel @ Clouds vineyard – an iconic destination, shaped like a giant wine barrel on the grounds of Clouds Vineyard. The Barrel showcases wines from South East Queensland, craft beers & local produce. They offer a selection of wines predominately from the Granite Belt, including wines prepared under the Clouds Vineyard label as well as craft beers and cider from local breweries, including ‘Dark Cloud’ stout.  Enjoy either a wine flight or beer paddle during our visit. Take a wander in the grounds of Clouds Vineyard to soak in the glorious views and their vineyard.

Afterwards, our tour heads back to Brisbane to drop off some tour participants and then continues onto the Gold Coast.
