SAT 05 JULY | LD

2 day / 1 night charter coach departs early this morning

Tour participants will meet the rest of the group (travelling from other locations) at the Mount Tamborine Sky walk.

Originating from the Mount Warning volcanic eruption 22 million years ago, Mount Tamborine is located along the northern edge of the ancient caldera and aptly represents the ‘Green behind the Gold’ within the Gold Coast hinterland.

Explore the beautiful rainforest canopies in 30 acres of rainforest beside the crystal clear rock-pools of Cedar Creek. The walk is 1.5 kms and is a combination of forest floor trails, high-tech steel bridges through the highest points of the upper canopy, and a cantilever bridge that soars 30 metres above the creek and rainforest below.

The Rainforest Eco Gallery showcases local rainforest animals, birds and reptiles. There are dioramas of Australian and exotic insects, and butterfly collections. The Eco Gallery also features a fish tank which depicts a natural rainforest pool, stocked with a range of native endemic fish.

Drive to the Cauldron Distillery, and take a small tour of the distillery. Then its time to get your creative juices flowing during an informative and interactive Gin Blending Class.

During this experience, you will implement a process known as Gin Compounding, a technique used by many distilleries to produce consistent quality gin. Guided by the distilling team, you will select from a multitude of individually distilled botanicals and blend them together to create a balanced gin that suits your palate and taste.

How does a gin with orange, sage, and anise sound to you?
Maybe you prefer rose petals, strawberry, and cocoa nibs?
Perhaps your preference is lemon myrtle, macadamia nuts and honey?
The choice will be yours because your gin blend can be as unique as you are!

After this activity our group will enjoy a platter lunch in the Cauldron Kitchen. Transfer to our Mount Tamborine accommodation after lunch.
